I have dry, curly, color treated hair that needs serious help!
Regardless of price, what is the BEST conditioning treatment for dry hair?
I have two that I love... Aveda Damage Remedy line - there's a shampoo and daily conditioner as well as a treatment that you can use two to three times a week. It's a miracle.
I also have curly hair and these products make my hair look really bouncy, shiny and less frizzy - it's Framesi's Options Indulge shampoo and Revive conditioner. I use Indulge everytime I wash - it's just a good moisturizing shampoo. Revive is more of a protein treatment that you'll only want to use once or twice a week - too much protein can make hair feel brittle. When I don't use that I use their Hydrate conditioner.
Another thing that can help your dry hair is to wash the least amount you can get away with. I try to wash at least every other day. If you can't get your hair to look right, but it's not too oily on the second day - or third or whatever - try rinsing it really well in the shower and using a conditioner only. This keeps the natural oils there to help hydrate your hair naturally.
A leave-in conditioner might be helpful for you also - I recommend Framesi's Options Soothe. It's a really nice creme leave-in that you would use before your styling products.
Hope this helped!

St. Ives makes a great peppermint conditioner. It is fantastic for you hair and scalp and leaves it all tingly. I highly recommend it. It comes in a little pouch. I use one a week. Each pouch only costs $1. I can get them at Bi-mart, Fred Meyer, just about anywhere. Good luck!

Call a well respected salon where you live. Anything that is sold in those places is accepted by the school of cosmetology. I use a product that replaces its natural oil (by Redken). Regardless of what you get.. and depending on how damaged your hair is.. you should use it anywhere from once or twice a week.

If your hair is color-treated, you need a conditioner that not only is safe for color-treated hair, but actually prolongs the life of your hair color.

are pretty pricey, however, they are PH balanced.
Sulfate-free products are most ideal to protect, condition and seal the hair shaft, keep it frizz free, moisturized and help coax your curls to be glossy, healthy and beautiful.
It's always very important to make sure you put some sort of protectant on your hair before you blow-dry. Also, be sure after you condition in the shower, and do your final rinse, your rinse is with cool water to seal in as much moisture as possible.
There are lots of conditioners out there. They do not have to be as expensive as the ones I listed above.
There is one that VO5 just came out with called TOTAL HAIR RECOVERY.

Use this once a week. It's truly amazing and you can get it at Wal-Mart. It's great deep conditioning if you are on a budget.
