You will need several treatments, they get every stage of the hair growth process. The hair needs to be dark, light hair doesn't laser. I worked in a Salon, we had a Nurse who did it. Ideally, the best candidate for it it is light skin and dark hair. I would go for a consult and they will explain it all to you and tell you if it worth it for you.

Hi,

Yes, laser treatments do work well. I have not personally had it however, I worked with a mildly developmentally disabled woman that had a full beard. At some point in her life she had been told to shave after getting a few hairs on her chin. After researching laser hair removal as she was very embarrassed, I took her. I swear there was a noticeable difference after the first treatment. I asked her if it hurt, wondering if I was torturing her and she said it did not really. She compared it to a pinch. To my amazement after six treatments she only gets random hairs. A HUGE difference to the hundreds she had before.

I would think that if you have just your lip that is an issue, it would only require a few visits, if that. Good luck, I hope this helps.
