Hi! Yes, it depends on your budget. I had my hair professionally colored only one time years ago. The results were beautiful and I had so many many positive comments from total strangers! I observed every thing that my stylist did. I looked at every product label so that I could do this myself at home. I called the Clairol 1-800 number hotline and asked them what the professional product number was then they translated it to the store bought color product number. It was very well worth it for me even though it was a small fortune for my budget. Wishing you the very best!
