i would not do that it sux ive tried and it left my hair totally greasy but if you are going to do it i would do it on wet

I wouldn't suggest you do the treatment at all. The only reason why people suggest you do it, is because it leaves a coating of oil in your hair. Just grab an oil-treatment at the store and leave the mayo for you sandwiches.
