There is probably nothing chemically wrong with it, but you don't want to put anything in your hair that will pull when you try to get it back out. Wax is really hard to get back out of your hair, and so you tend to pull some to get it back out. If you have a real gravity-defying hairstyle, I'd go for some other product, like hair glue or somethingn like that. I like "Got 2b Glued".

yes.

try s factor creamy molding wax. it does not have heavy oils to grease up your scalp.

the trick with products for guys ,, especially with thinning hair , is to use them on DRY hair. this keeps the product on the tips of your hair and not on the scalp. making your hair look much thicker. and wont suffocate your follicles.
