hi divya. a very old and effective home remedy for this is what we in India call 'unloi' take wheat flour that u use for making chappati's, n roll it in the opposite direction of the hair. use very little cream so that it's a little smooth. i wn't say it's painless coz ur pulling out hair from the body but yes at this age once the hair is out it won't grow back. try n do it on a daily basis as this will take some time. so plz be patient too.

I would ask your pediatrician just to make sure she doesn't have hormone issue that needs addressing. Also, is your daughter bothered by the excessive hair? If not, then leave it alone. If she is anxious to do something about it, the pediatrician may have some advice. Waxing will be painful, and it seems way too early to pluck and shave.

I would NOT recommend removing it - there is no painless way and she's very young to go through anything painful. I believe there are bleaching creams (Jolean?? I think it was called) that women used on their upper lips. I'd bleach the hair so it's less noticeable. Again, check with your doctor first.

As a hairstylist I am an expert on removing hair but under no circumstances would I ever remove hair on a 7 year old but you probably wont listen to me because you want to help her (I am sure kids might tease her) kids can be cruel. But I will help you out anyway, NAIR is a good product that is painless but last a very short time as it just melts the hair off. Anyway hope that solves your problem.

DO NOT PULL IT OUT!!! it will grow back with a vengence!!! and thicker. i use the nair products on my 9 year old and i started when she was 7....just don't leave it on as long or use the sensitive formula. they also come in nair formulas for lips so you can try that!

I'm a teenager, with wayy more than excessive amounts of hair, and I started removing my upper lip hair at 11. I understand if it bothers your daughter, but maintaining the constant shaving, plucking, and waxing is way too much of a bother for a seven year old.
I just started waxing my arms the past months, and it grows back in about a month. There's no way i can pay to wax my entire body, and I don't have the time to do it myself, so now I have this odd line where I am really hairy on my shoulders and back.
Hair removal creams make the hair grow back pretty fast and for me a bit thicker so I wouldnt advise that. But honestly, I know how she feels if she is self conscious about her hair, but can she just stick with capris for a few more years? The innocence of not caring or having to worry about prickly legs, and burnt skin is wonderful! So don't rush into this, because people don't expect a seven year old to look like a model and as she grows older she'll realize how unimportant this is.

Have you never heard of it? Simple.
Make a paste of Turmerick (Haldi) powder and Besan (Chanaka dal) powder with water.
Use this to massage the child's face, arms and legs daily when having / giving her a bath, and then wash off.
Though the yellow stain would remain for a few hours , and then fade off, the resulting skin would be free of hair!

the gentlemen is right, a paste of turmeric(haldi), besan and curd would actually work. i wouldnt suggest plain water because it'll hurt your daughter. once its dry rub gently and in a few weeks u'll see the difference
