Apply some to washed hair (wet) and leave for about 15 mins (good to do in the bath, shave you legs or read a magazine while waiting maybe) then wash it off with shampoo and rinse well.

With olive oil you use it like a conditioner, but on dry hair, leave to soak in for 30 minutes, then rinse of with the tiniest amount of shampoo...

I use Lush's henna for hair in caca noir and mix olive oil in with it and leave it on for an hour..you couls also try mixing two eggs and some olive oil as a pre-shampoo treatment..it makes it shiny.

Make sure you rinse it out properly though!

It is, use it as a hot oil or deep conditioning treatment. Place a small amount of olive oil in a heat safe cup or glass (i use a shot glass.) (DO NOT put the entire glass bottle in warm water, the heat will alter the taste of the olive oil and it will then be wasted) Place it in hot water to let it heat up for 5-10 min. Then apply it to your hair from roots to end, concentrating on the ends (try not to get too much on your scalp) wrap hair in a bun and cover head with saran wrap and hang out for an hour or so, letting your scalp warm the oil and open your hair cuticle. Then, take a warm shower and after you have washed, shaved, etc, rinse out the oil with lukewarm or cool water.

It would be good to do it once a week at least. More if you are swim in clorinated or salt water.
