MInimum length of hair to put into rollers?

My mum is recovering from chemotherapy treatment and her hair is now approximately 2" long on from the front and to the back of the crown of her head and about 1" at the back and sides, She normally uses 22mm Diameter 3/4" rollers to set her hair, How long does her hair need to be until she can completely roll-up her hair and also how long will she need to wait to roll it up properly,

I have suggested buying some smaller diameter rollers but the smallest i can find is 15mm 1/2" will they be suitable for setting the 2" length of hair at the top of her hair

I had the crown of my hair cut as low as 1 1/2" and was able to find rollers that would fit. Don't look for them in drugstores, but rather in beauty supply stores, they tend to have EVERY size of rollers, curling irons, and flat irons available. Also, she should tie a scarf around her head after rolling her hair to securely keep the rollers in place.

Search pincurls on the internet, it doesnt matter how long your hair is to do pin curls!

As long as you can wrap or bend the hair around the roller, it will be fine. The really short ones. you may want to use some end papers.

Get her a new set of rollers that are thinner, so her hair will wind around them

I empithize with you, my mom had cancer and went thru cemo~

try using bobypins I know this sounds strange but, my mom use to roll her hair this way, if you can curl it in a circle then put the bobypin on it and leave it for some time then the hair will be curly! hope this helps and I will say a prayer for you and your mom! take care.

Maybe you could use kirby grips instead of roller for the time being.Wrap it around your finger [the hair] and pin it .Then when dry brush it out you will have some curl.Hope this helps and that your mum recovers soon.

Yes, rollers will work on your mom. Go to a beauty supply store and get some, you may want to try the velcroe rollers, those seem to stay in better and they don't make creases in the hair. Good luck to you and your mom,I'm so glad she is recovering. God Bless.
