I usually do it after I get out of the shower. I use a great hair mask by Avon with olive oil in it, so its creamy not greasy. You can also cover your head with a shower cap to keep the heat in while the treatment is working.

You can apply it to dry or wet hair. A better method would be putting a regular room tempature olive oil on wet or dry hair and leave it on for the night. (you dont want to burn the scalp with the oil)
