Only have one idea that might help.....my husband started losing his hair for awhile at about that age and he was advised to cut it really short for awhile and let the sun get to it....luckily flat top cuts were "in"...so that is what he did...and it solved the problem and to this day he has never lost a lot of hair.. Short cuts are "in" and maybe you could just try a shorter hair-style for awhile.
